With the experience of a number of leadership positions, both in the formal workplace and in voluntary and sports organisations, I have come to believe strongly in the capability of individuals to achieve more than they and others often expect can be accomplished. Helping people release and realise that potential is one of the most rewarding aspects of my life and is the cornerstone of my approach to business.

Having trained as an actuary and then working in the operational side of the business, I quickly discovered that actuarial work really was shrouded in mystique with often impenetrable jargon and concepts. I had to learn how to deconstruct these ideas and communicate them in ways that non-technical audiences could understand. I found that I became quite good at it. This is a skill I have polished away from work where I train novice rugby union referees in the complexities of the game.

My service offering is built on a mix of financial and business skills and experience, combined with strong communication and inter-personal skills with the purpose of helping you improve your business.

I established this business in 2001 after a career employed in life insurance, pensions and investment organisations.

After technical training, I became involved in product and proposition development, operational management, sales and marketing, client management and enterprise management. Some of this was in an international context.
